Severe thunderstorms threatened parts of southern Ontario Monday evening.

Just after 9:30 p.m. Monday, Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for some areas in Lambton County, Huron County and Middlesex County. At around 10 p.m., the warning was lifted for areas in Lambton County, shortly after, the remaining warnings ended.

On top of the warnings, a special weather statement was in effect for several hours for the same areas including Elgin County as the systems moving through were capable of brining heavy downpours and damaging winds.

The advisory was called off just before midnight Tuesday.
