Marcin Bowl closes doors, listed for sale

A longtime Point Edward business is shutting its doors permanently, saying they haven't been able to fully recover from ongoing and changing COVID restrictions.

In a letter to the community, the owners of Marcin Bowl on Helena Street said the last 18 months have been understandably tough.

They said they fully intended to reopen, but "cannot provide the level of service under the everchanging rules made by the government". The business will be listed for sale, in hopes of finding a buyer.

The post thanked past and present staff, bowlers, directors, and volunteers for their dedication to bowling.

The bowling alley will be open for locker content pick up and gift card refunds on September 8 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., September 10 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., and September 11 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Those with gift cards can bring them in for a refund until October 19.
