A 47-year-old Sarnia man has been charged with impaired driving after a vehicle mounted the curb and struck a sign on Saturday.
City police were called to the area of Exmouth Street and Melrose Avenue at around 6:45 p.m.
They said the vehicle sustained damage to the side view mirror and had a flat front passenger tire.
The accused was allegedly seen by witnesses walking away from the scene with a beer in his hand, and was arrested a short distance away by police.
Police said he blew three times the legal limit.
He is scheduled to appear in Sarnia court on October 19.
