Plympton-Wyoming welcomes two new doctors

Two doctors joining the Plympton-Wyoming Health and Wellness Centre are now accepting patients.

The Town said Dr. Paxton Moon and Dr. Ahmed Hijazi will begin working at the center on September 7.

Dr. Moon completed his residency in family medicine in Petrolia after graduating from Western University's MD/Ph.D. program in 2019. His work with the Lambton Family Health Team prompted a desire to stay in the area.

"He looks forward to taking on new patients and providing both Emergency room and inpatient care through the Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital channels," read a release.

Dr. Hijazi is from London and completed his undergraduate degree and medical school training at Western University.

"He is establishing a comprehensive family medicine practice and has an interest in acute care, emergency medicine, patient advocacy, men's health, evidence-based preventative care," read a media release.

Residents in need of a physician are asked to fill out a form on the Central Lambton Family Health Team website.

Forms can also be obtained from the municipal office.
