Busy day on the water for Sarnia and Point Edward marine units

Sarnia and Point Edward Fire and Rescue Marine units were kept busy Saturday.

At about 9:15 p.m., Point Edward Fire and Rescue Marine was called to assist two occupants of an inflatable raft that had drifted too far from the Lake Huron shore, and were unable to paddle back.

The rescue occurred about 150 metres from shore directly out from Canatara Beach.

The married couple were wearing life jackets and no injuries were reported.
