Former Sarnia Sting added to Montreal coaching staff

A former Sarnia Sting player and head coach has been named an assistant coach with the NHL's Montreal Canadiens.

Trevor Letowski has been added to the role, after spending the past three seasons as the head coach of the OHL's Windsor Spitfires.

He spent six seasons behind the Sarnia Sting bench, including two as head coach.

He was an assistant coach on Canada's 2014, 2016, and 2018 World Junior teams, winning gold in 2018 and bronze in 2014.

Letowski turned pro after three seasons sporting the Sting colours, where he amassed 248 points (93 goals, 155 assists) in 187 games.

He played more than 600 NHL games over 13 years with Phoenix, Columbus, Vancouver, and Carolina.
