Sarnia Fire and Rescue says their water rescue training paid off Wednesday afternoon.
Crews were wrapping up their exercises at around noon, when they were called about someone in distress in the St. Clair River.
They were able to save the person, using the same training techniques they were practicing earlier in the day.
