PBLO baseball action returns to Sarnia this weekend

Minor baseball action returns to Sarnia this weekend.

The Premier Baseball League of Ontario (PBLO) season gets underway in both the 15U and 18U divisions.

The Sarnia Baseball Club's (formerly the Sarnia Braves) 15U squad will host Oshawa for a doubleheader, starting at 1 p.m. Saturday at Errol Russell Park.

The 15U team will host Oshawa again for two games at Blackwell Park, beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Meanwhile, the 18U team will head to London's Labatt Park at 4 p.m. Saturday to face the Badgers.

Those two teams meet up again Sunday for two games at Errol Russell.

Social distancing and other COVID protocols will be in place for spectators.

After securing a franchise in the PBLO in the fall of 2019, Sarnia has yet to play a game due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

The team said it's been a long frustrating experience for everyone involved.
