St. Thomas man 'counting his k's' for Noelle's Gift

A St. Thomas man is making the trek from London to Point Edward this weekend, in support of Noelle's Gift.

Jeff Southcott is walking 100 kilometers as part of the 'Count Your K's in May' fundraiser.

Southcott will begin his journey from Highbury Avenue in London at 7 a.m. Saturday, and is expected to arrive at Noelle's bench in Point Edward, near the Blue Water Bridge, on Sunday at about 1 p.m.

The charity, launched in memory of Noelle Paquette, is hoping to raise $40,000 from the event being held in place of the annual Noelle's Gift of Fitness, which was cancelled due to the pandemic.

Since its inception in 2013, the charity has raised over $1.6-million. Funds raised support youth programs across Lambton-Kent, and help purchase supplies including food, medication, clothing and eyeglasses.
