Local COVID cases up four, active infections down three

Lambton Public Health reported four new cases of COVID-19 Sunday.

In its daily update, the health unit said there's been 3,455 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic over a year ago. The number of resolved cases increased by seven to 3,332, lowering the number of active infections by three to 64.

The health unit reported the area's 60 death since the start of the pandemic. Saturday, Bluewater Health said the latest death was a Lambton County man in his 80's.

Institutional and workplace outbreaks are unchanged at three.

Bluewater Health had eight COVID-positive patients in hospital, down one.

Lambton Public Health will not be releasing an update Monday due to the holiday.
