A 44-year-old man from Lambton Shores has been charged with careless driving after a huge crane landed in the ditch along Highway 40 Tuesday.
Police responded to the highway, between Rokeby and Moore Lines, just before 6 a.m.
The driver, the only occupant in the vehicle, was not injured.
The road was still closed at mid-afternoon as crews worked to get the crane back on the road.
It reopened just after 5 p.m.
