Lambton Public Health launches dedicated vaccine call centre

Lambton Public Health (LPH) has launched a dedicated vaccine call centre to keep up with demand.

Residents with COVID-19 vaccine-related questions can call the line for information and support.

Manager of Health Promotion Mike Gorgey said the new dedicated line will help residents who are having difficulty booking their vaccinations online.

"It is expected this improvement will also provide better customer service and improved response times for vaccine-related questions overall," said Gorgey.

The new call-centre will run Monday to Friday from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. Residents can call 226-254-8222 or contact the "Contact Us" page on the LPH website.

To book a vaccine, residents are still asked to schedule their appointments online at www.getthevaccine.ca.

Lambton Public Health’s main phone number (519-383-8331) is still in operation from Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for those looking to speak to someone regarding contract tracing, queries related to the health unit’s regular services and programs, and all other COVID-19 related questions.
