The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and RCMP are reporting the seizure of $3.5-million worth of cocaine at the Blue Water Bridge.

The CBSA said on March 31 a commercial truck, driven by an Ontario resident, entered Canada at Point Edward and was referred to secondary inspection.

During the examination, officers allegedly found 62 kilograms of suspected cocaine and placed the driver under arrest.

Harvinder Singh, 25, of Brampton is charged with importation of a controlled substance, and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He remains in custody at the RCMP's Windsor Detachment, and will appear in Sarnia court on April 20, 2021.

The RCMP recognized the assistance provided by Lambton OPP and the Sarnia police Forensic Identification Branch at the beginning of the investigation.
