Sarnia-Lambton's active COVID-19 cases continue to trend lower.
Lambton Public Health, in its daily update Thursday, reported 15 new confirmed cases for a total of 2,955 since the pandemic started over a year ago.
The health unit said the number of cases considered resolved went up by 25 to 2,784, lowering the active case count by 10 to 119. On March 22, active cases in Lambton County had climbed to 243.
Locally, 45 per cent of the cases are now in the zero to 39 age group including 32 per cent aged zero to 29.
There were nine active institutional, school and workplace outbreaks, unchanged from Wednesday.
Bluewater Health reported nine COVID-positive patients in hospital, an increase of two in the last 24 hours.
Communications Chief Julia Oosterman said two of the nine patients are under the age of 60. She said four are in intensive care with one on a ventilator.
