The Bluewater Health and Bluewater Health foundation boards are both looking for new members.
Board of Directors Chair Brian Knott said anyone interested has until the end of the month to apply.
"What we're looking for, for the Bluewater Health board, is one board member and two non-director committee members," said Knott. "For the foundation board, we're looking for three new directors."
He said the volunteer boards are responsible for setting policy, establishing strategic directions and monitoring organizational performance.
"Both boards have somewhat skills-based boards. We're looking at skills that may compliment those already on the board. For instance, experience in boards and governance. The composition of our boards, we want those to reflect the diversity in our community and that means increased representation from women and the Indigenous and rural community."
Knott said applicants have to live in Lambton County and estimates the time commitment would be about 10 hours per month.
He said with healthcare coming to the forefront during the pandemic, they're really looking for experienced people to apply.
