Ticket sales strong for annual Dream Home Lottery

The Bluewater Health Foundation says it's pleased the way ticket sales are trending for its 26th annual Dream Home Lottery.

Executive Director Kathy Alexander said just under 15,000 tickets have sold so far, and they'd like to sell 20,000 total.

She said, as always, all of the proceeds are directed right back into healthcare in Sarnia-Lambton.

"In the past, we've been able to purchase CT scanners, MRIs, mammography machines. Working with our sister foundation in Petrolia, all of the funds generated from their perspective are going into enhancements and renovations at the Petrolia location. Right now, the Bluewater Health Foundation is fundraising for a new lab and focusing on the Access Open Minds initiative."

Alexander said the take-home prize for this year's 50/50 draw is over $115,600.

Over the last 25 years, the lottery has raised over $7.4 million for Bluewater Health’s Sarnia and Petrolia hospitals.

Tickets this year will only be available at www.bwhfdreamhome.com or by phone at 1-844-667-3251.

They can be purchased until midnight on April 4, and the draw will be held April 26.

Tours of 4096 Ernest St. in Petrolia will be done virtually this year.

The home, valued at over $536,000, was built by Sepe Construction and designed by D. Janzen Interiors.
