Over $26,000 of methamphetamine was taken off the streets during a traffic stop in Sarnia's south end Tuesday.
The Sarnia Police Service COPPS Unit pulled over a vehicle in the area of Devine Street and Lillian Street. Officers determined the driver had a suspended licence which led to a traffic charge.
Police allege that further investigation resulted in the seizure of 262.11 grams of meth, 7.83 grams of suspected cocaine, and $2,225 in Canadian currency from a female passenger.
Melissa Franchini, 34, of Sarnia is to appear in Sarnia court April 21 on two counts of possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking.
