No change in active COVID case count Monday

The active COVID-19 caseload in Sarnia-Lambton is holding steady at 98.

Lambton Public Health reported eight new confirmed cases and eight more recoveries Monday.

The total case count since late March is 2,026 with 1,882 considered resolved. The death toll is unchanged at 46.

The number of active institutional and workplace outbreaks has gone down one to six.

An outbreak at Sarnia Jail has increased to 46 inmates and five staff members.

The Lambton Kent District School Board reported one student and one staff at Lansdowne Public School have tested positive, and there were still two student cases at Great Lakes Secondary School. Both schools remain open.

Bluewater Health had two positive patients in hospital Monday.
