Bluewater Health exec taking on LEO leadership role

A local healthcare leader is adding another feather to her cap.

Paula Reaume-Zimmer, the Integrated Vice-President of Mental Health and Addictions at Bluewater Health and Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton-Kent (CMHA LK), has accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer at Lambton Elderly Outreach (LEO).

While Reaume-Zimmer will continue in her current role, she has established an important network in Sarnia-Lambton that will assist in the future growth of LEO, as the organization embarks on a new planning and service delivery.

LEO Board Chair April Williams is excited to have her join the team.

"We look forward to seeing the benefits this integrated role can bring to LEO, our clients and the community,” said Williams.

In addition to 20 years of experience, Reaume-Zimmer has earned a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration.

“I have so much respect for the care that our community teams are providing, and appreciate the challenges they are faced with," said Reaume-Zimmer. "I look forward to becoming involved in an organization that is dedicated to ensuring individuals can remain at home safely, and as long as possible. For the last seven years, I’ve seen the patient benefits of an integrated leadership model that is focused on improving transitions of care, and will continue with this effort as the CEO of LEO."

CMHA LK CEO Alan Stevenson is excited about building on their existing partnership with Bluewater Health and LEO.

"Together our three organizations will create a more client-centered approach to care in the community,” said Stevenson.
