Sting players staying on top of their game in Alps Hockey League
Two Sarnia Sting players have taken their talents overseas as the OHL’s season start date remains in doubt.
Forward Brayden Guy and newly-acquired defenceman Cameron Supryka are playing in Austria for the Linz Steel Wings of the Alps Hockey League.
Both have been held pointless in their first two contests of the season.
The 19-year-old Guy is coming off his third season as a member of the Sting, and put up 16 goals and 23 assists in 59 games this past season.
Supryka was picked up from Hamilton in the offseason. He had three goals and 18 assists in 53 games in 2019-20.
The Ontario Hockey League has not announced a start date. The season has been delayed several times due to concerns surrounding COVID-19.
