Sarnia’s Mike Weir had a solid showing at this year’s Masters Tournament, finishing in a tie for 51st at 2 over par.

The 50-year-old made his first cut at Augusta National since 2014 with a score of 1 under after two rounds of play — the eventual cut line was even par.

Weir, who made Canadian history when he won the PGA major tournament back in 2003, fired rounds of 71 and 76 on the weekend to cap-off his 21st Masters.

Weir made the jump to the PGA Tour Champions earlier this year — in 10 tournaments this year, he had three top 10 finishes and over $500,000 in winnings.
