An organizer of the annual food drive at Original Albert's Fries in Point Edward, is thrilled with the community's response.
Jon Sinclair said as a result of the event Saturday, November 7, they have donated 2,644 pounds of food to the Inn of the Good Shepherd, 20 per cent more than last year.
He said with a donation from Albert's, and overwhelming support from the community, they also donated a whopping $4,750 to the Inn and its Adopt-A-Family program for Christmas.
"We could not have asked for a more perfect day all around," said Sinclair. "This community's support for each other during times of need is simply overwhelming."
The event was held this year even though Point Edward could not stage the annual Christmas in the Village due to the pandemic.
