UPDATE: Snow squall warning ended

It's no late Halloween trick, Environment Canada issued a snow squall warning for parts of southwestern Ontario on Sunday.

A snow squall warning put in place Sunday evening for parts of  North and East Lambton,  Huron-Perth, Grey-Bruce, London-Middlesex, and Elgin counties has ended.

A special weather statement for Sarnia, and Western Lambton County has also ended. Many areas near Great Lake shorelines have been issued flood watches due to the strong winds.

A low-pressure system moving through the region brought gusty winds as flurries developed off of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. Strong winds, along with the falling snow, can reduce visibility at times making travel difficult. Some areas received up to 15 cm of snow in squall activity.

Environment Canada says flurries will taper off early Monday morning when temperatures begin to rise again. Motorists are reminded to adjust their driving to the changing weather conditions.
