The Lambton Kent District School Board and the union representing its high school teachers have reached a tentative contract agreement.
The board reported Monday that a deal with the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF) District 10 was achieved Friday, October 23.
Details are being withheld pending ratification by both parties.
“We are pleased to reach a tentative agreement with OSSTF,” said board Chair Jane Bryce in a statement. “We appreciate the ongoing dedication and commitment of OSSTF staff to supporting student achievement and wellbeing.”
OSSTF District 10 represents 600 full-time equivalent secondary teachers in Lambton-Kent.
A provincial collective agreement between OSSTF, the Council of Trustees’ Association, and the Government of Ontario was ratified in May 2020.
