Sarnia police are investigating the recent theft of a classic car from the Lambton Mall parking lot.

Police said a pink 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle was parked near the front doors of Galaxy Cinemas at around 6 p.m. October 8.

It’s alleged a man walked across the lot, entered the vehicle through the driver’s side door, and started it up in less than a minute.

It was last seen exiting the lot toward Exmouth Street.

The suspect is described as a skinny male, approximately 5’10”, wearing a black hoodie with jeans. Police said video footage is not available at this time but may be forthcoming.
