No new COVID cases in Sarnia-Lambton

The local COVID-19 caseload is holding steady.

In its update Monday night, Lambton Public Health said there are no new confirmed or resolved cases to report, and the number of active cases stands at three.

Since March 25, there have been 346 cases reported in Sarnia-Lambton, of which 318 have been deemed resolved. There have been 25 related deaths.

To date, the local health agency has received the results from 27,811 tests, 98.8 per cent have been negative for the virus.

On Monday morning, Ontario set a new record for the highest number of COVID-19 cases reported in the province in a single day.

Public health officials confirmed 700 new infections, breaking the previous high of 624 cases recorded on April 24.
