A secondary school teacher in Sarnia has been arrested for alleged sexual offences involving a high school age female student.

The allegations were reported this summer and the teacher was arrested after an investigation by the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch.

Tyler Shaw, 36, of Sarnia is charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation and has been released with conditions pending a future court date.

Shaw has been employed by the Lambton Kent District School Board at Great Lakes Secondary School and prior to that was a teacher at the former Sarnia Collegiate Institute and Technical School (SCITS).

Investigators want to make sure there are no other victims.
