First new COVID-19 case in a week in Sarnia-Lambton

Lambton Public Health reported its first new case of COVID-19 in a week Saturday night.

The number of confirmed cases is now at 344 with 317 recoveries and 25 deaths, leaving two active cases.

The age of positive cases in Sarnia-Lambton ranges from a low of eight per cent in the 0 to 19 demographic to 22 per cent for those 80 and older. Females account for 57 per cent of the cases and geographically the split is 69 per cent urban and 31 per cent rural.

The number of test results received has surpassed 26,000 now with 1.3 per cent positive.

Bluewater Health reported in its weekly update Friday that there are no confirmed COVID patients in hospital, and 28 with tests pending including pre-surgical screening.
