Canadian Blue Water Bridge tolls remain the same

Canadian toll rates at the Blue Water Bridge are staying the same, continuing a two-year trend.

The Federal Bridge Corporation (FBCL) said the rate for passenger vehicles heading to the U.S. remains at $4.25 (CAD) and $3.25 (USD) per trip.

The rate for commercial vehicles per axle is also unchanged at $4.50 (CAD) and $3.50 (USD) per trip.

The corporation last increased Canadian toll rates in November 2018. They're reviewed semi-annually based on economic needs and the value of the exchange rate. The next review is scheduled for April 1, 2021 but the corporation said it reserves the right to revise its rates at any time, given how the pandemic restrictions on non-essential travel are impacting operations.

Further details are available on the Blue Water Bridge Toll Rates page at www.federalbridge.ca.

Earlier this month, the Michigan Department of Transportation also announced that tolls for vehicles coming into Canada were remaining the same.

FBCL owns, manages and operates international bridges and associated structures in Point Edward, Sault Ste. Marie, Lansdowne (Thousand Islands) and Cornwall, Ontario.
