OPP seize $220K in drugs, weapons, property in Watford

Lambton OPP are reporting the seizure of over $220,000 worth of drugs, weapons, property and currency in Watford.

On September 10, the OPP Community Street Crimes Unit, the West Region Canine Unit, and the Emergency Response Team executed a warrant at a home on St. Clair Street.

During a search, police arrested and charged two people and seized about 1000 grams of suspected cocaine, cannabis edibles, LSD, psilocybin, MDMA, Canadian and United States currency and weapons.

The Provincial Asset Forfeiture Unit assisted the investigation and seized property from the residence.

Police said the total value of the seizure is over $223,000.

As a result of the warrant, a total of four people were arrested and charged with five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon, and possession of cannabis for selling.

All of the accused were released and are scheduled to appear in Sarnia court at a later date.

Names have not been released.
