Lambton OPP charge four drivers with impaired in separate incidents

Lambton OPP say they charged four alleged impaired drivers during the first week of the month.

On September 1, 2020 at approximately 4:30 p.m. officers responded to a possible impaired driver leaving a commercial business in Alvinston.

Police located the vehicle and watched the driver allegedly exit the vehicle with alcohol in hand.

A 48-year-old man from Brooke-Alvinston was charged and is to appear in Sarnia court October 19.

On September 5 at approximately 8:45 p.m. while on general patrol on Oil Heritage Road in Dawn-Euphemia Township, Lambton OPP located a motorbike being driven on Langbank Line and approached the driver to ensure the motorbike was properly suited for operation on the road.

The driver was arrested for impaired operation and provided two samples over the legal limit.

A 49-year-old man from Dawn-Euphemia Township is scheduled to appear in Sarnia court on September 21.

At approximately 5:25 p.m. on September 6 Lambton OPP responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Albert Boulevard and Colborne Drive in Corunna.

Initial investigation revealed that one vehicle was rear ended by another.

A 26-year-old woman from St. Clair Township was charged with impaired driving and is appear in court on October 5.

On September 6 at approximately 6:50 p.m. Lambton OPP were conducting traffic enforcement on Oil Heritage Road in Enniskillen Township.

Police stopped a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act infraction.

The driver was arrested for impaired operation and provided two samples over the legal limit.

Police said further investigation allegedly resulted in open alcohol and a prohibited weapon being found inside the vehicle.

A 48-year old man from Goderich is to appear in Sarnia court on December 14.
