Watford fish fry to reel in support for Rotary Club

If you head to Watford Saturday, you'll be able to reel in a tasty dinner.

The local Rotary Club's 18th annual fish fry outside Centennial Hall is on from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Rotary VP George Noll said this year's event will be a drive-thru set up to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"This is the 18th annual fish fry. It's a very big event in Watford, and because of COVID, we had to do the drive-thru method on this, and the event has just been supporting Rotary and community projects," said Noll. "It is a drive-thru but the baseball park next door has a little open area that we're looking to set up for people to sit there and eat as well."

Noll added that because this year's event won't be inside, organizers are hoping for some good weather.

Noll said they're looking for advance tickets only, which are available at Watford Home Hardware or from any Rotarian -- those interested can call 519-384-5637.

Noll said they have 400 tickets to sell and that they have a history of selling out.
