Sarnia Fire and Rescue, city police and Lambton EMS responded to a house fire on Queen Street early Monday afternoon.
Queen Street was closed to traffic between Talfourd and Devine streets as crews worked to clean up and investigate the cause.
Sarnia Fire Life Safety Educator Mike Otis told Blackburn News that one person was taken to hospital for observation and released.
Crews were able to revive a kitten with oxygen and safely removed a baby rabbit from the home.
