COVID caseload holds steady

Sarnia-Lambton's COVID-19 figures are unchanged since Tuesday.

Lambton Public Health  says 259 of the 286 confirmed cases in the community have been deemed resolved.

There have been no related deaths since June 6, and the death toll stands at 25.

The health unit says 40 per cent of the confirmed cases were linked to an outbreak and 36 per cent were a close contact of a known case.

To date, the health unit has received results from 13, 848 tests, of which nearly 98 per cent have been negative for the deadly virus.

On Thursday, Bluewater Health reported there are currently no patients in hospital who have tested positive for the virus, however, there are 9 suspected cases with test results pending.
