Sarnia police have charged two men and a woman with drug trafficking following the seizure of a significant amount of fentanyl.

Wednesday night just before 8 p.m., the vice unit executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Elgin Street.

Three people in the residence were arrested and nearly 56 grams of fentanyl with a street value of $28,000 was seized along with $3,865 in cash, digital scales and packaging.

Steven Thomas Tasker, 33, Ashley Marie Lynn Baxter, 22, and Jason James Gordon, 37, all of Sarnia, are each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Baxter is also charged with failing to comply with a release order and Gordon faces two counts of failing to comply with probation.

Tasker and Baxter were held for bail and remain in custody while Gordon was released on an Officer in Charge Release.
