COVID testing nearing 10,000 in Sarnia-Lambton

Lambton Pubilc Health has received the results from nearly 10,000 COVID-19 tests.

On its website, the health unit says just 2.8 per cent of the 9,998 test results that have come back have been positive for the virus.

The number of confirmed cases in the community is up by one in the last 24 hours to 279. One more person has recovered for a total of 239.

The death toll remains unchanged since June 6 at 25.

Bluewater Health says there are no patients in hospital confirmed to have the virus since Monday, while 16 patients are suspected of having it with tests pending.
