The health unit updated its website Tuesday night to report another resident from Vision Nursing Home has died from the virus, bringing the death toll in Sarnia-Lambton to 24.

Bluewater Health Communications Chief Julia Oosterman said a 96-year-old woman, admitted to the hospital from Vision May 29, died Tuesday.

Health officials said an outbreak that was declared at Lambton Meadowview Villa on May 25, after one staff member tested positive, has ended. There's been no new cases linked to the Petrolia facility.

There are three new confirmed cases of the virus up to 266, while three more people have recovered for a total of 210.

Lambton Public Health has now received the results from 7,091 tests, 96 per cent of which have been negative for COVID-19.

Wednesday, Bluewater Health reported 12 patients in hospital were confirmed to have the virus while 14 were suspected of having it with tests pending.
