Five more COVID-19 recoveries in Sarnia-Lambton

Three more cases of COVID-19 are being reported in Sarnia-Lambton, while five more people have recovered.

Lambton Public Health is reporting 254 cases of the virus as of Tuesday night. One of the new cases is a resident at Vision Nursing Home where 23 residents and 20 staff members have tested positive since an outbreak was declared on April 23.

On Wednesday, it was reported that eight residents and eight staff members have since recovered.

A total of 185 people have beaten the virus which is linked to a total of 21 deaths in the community.

To date, Lambton Public Health has received the results from 5,871 tests, of which 96 per cent have been negative.

On Wednesday, Bluewater Health reported that five patients are confirmed to have the virus and 16 are suspected of having it with tests pending.
