Testing available for all at Sarnia-Lambton COVID centres

A list of COVID-19 assessment centres in Lambton County has been released for residents wanting to be tested regardless of symptoms.

Bluewater Health Vice President of Operations Laurie Zimmer said the hospital is working with community partners to make testing available and residents can visit one of several locations. Calling ahead is preferred.

The Sarnia Lambton COVID-19 Assessment Centre, at the Twin Bridges Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic at 153 Christina Street in Sarnia, is open weekdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday's from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Rural Lambton COVID-19 Assessment Centre, at the Central Lambton Family Health Team at 4130 Glenview Rd. in Petrolia, runs Monday to Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday's from 9 a.m. to noon.

Grand Bend Area Community Assessment Centre, at the Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre at 69 Main Street East, is open Monday to Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Indigenous Health Centre Assessment Centre for Indigenous Peoples has locations at the Walpole Island Health Centre, at Kettle and Stoney Point First Nation and at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.

Individuals with mobility concerns will be supported through the community paramedicine program and can access the service by contacting any of the local assessment centres.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced Sunday that anyone who feels they were exposed to the virus can be tested even if they don't have symptoms.
