Confirmed and recovered COVID-19 cases both inch higher

There are 52 active cases of COVID-19 in the community as of Sunday morning.

Lambton Public Health updated its website to report two more confirmed cases for a total 247, while recoveries have also increased to 175.

The death toll climbed to 20 Friday night, following the reported death of a fifth resident at Vision Nursing Home.

There are two other institutional outbreaks ongoing at Sarnia’s Marshall Gowland Manor and at Village on the St. Clair but additional cases have not been reported at either facility since outbreaks were declared on May 15.

The health unit says they've received the results from 5, 613 COVID-19 tests, 96 per cent have been negative.

Sunday, Bluewater Health reported that four patients are confirmed to have the virus and 14 are suspected of having it with tests pending.
