Lambton Public Health conducting pandemic phone survey

Lambton Public Health is conducting a phone survey over the next few weeks to gauge how local residents are dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Epidemiologist Crystal Palleschi said they hope to sample 800 people to determine the community impact of public health measures and identify local needs.

"We'd like to assess mental health and well-being and the impact of isolation and physical distancing, look at financial and employment impacts, and issues providing care to loved ones, either older adults that are at increased risk of severe illness or children who need care due to school closures," said Palleschi.

"We're going to be able to compare our results to some provincial and national survey data so that we can see how Lambton is doing compared to the province and the country."
