100th birthday celebrated with 50-plus vehicle parade Friday (GALLERY)
A resident at Sarnia’s Rosewood Village Retirement Home entered her second century in style Friday afternoon.
After plans for a more traditional 100th birthday party were disrupted by COVID-19, the community rallied and treated Lillian Price to a 50-plus vehicle parade.
“We had such a beautiful day, we are overjoyed by the amount of family, staff and community support,” said executive director Jenica Tanguay. “We cannot thank everyone enough. Lillian had the best day. Lillian kept saying, ‘well isn’t this just so wonderful, all these people.'”
Price watched the parade of vehicles from the front porch of the retirement home on Indian Road.
It featured classic cars, vehicles from Blackburn Radio, and Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley driving his red Mustang convertible.
