First ever Stay @ Home Gala Saturday

Sarnia's first ever Stay @ Home Gala is on this Saturday.

Money raised from the virtual event benefits local agencies including St. Clair Child and Youth, the Petrolia Food Bank, St. Vincent de Paul and the Lambton Mental Wellness Centre.

Sarnia Community Foundation Executive Director Jane Anema says it gets underway at around 6:30 p.m. May 2.

"One night event, social distancing at its absolute finest, you get to stay at home, you get to be entertained via your computer," said Anema. "Greater entertainers coming, Eric Ethridge is doing a set for us, Emm Gryner is doing a set, Frank Brennan, Chris Molyneaux, Andrew Austin. And we're expecting a surprise guest to join us from Los Angeles. We have a good hour-and-a-half of great stuff."

Anema says they'll be joining the national broadcast which begins at 8 p.m.

Tickets for the link are $25. Anema says they've teamed up as well with the Dante Club, Sitara and the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club for dining options.

Details are posted at sarniacommunityfoundation.com.
