Cancer society daffodil campaign goes digital during pandemic

The Canadian Cancer Society's April daffodil campaign has gone digital this year due to COVID-19.

Those who make an online donation at www.cancer.ca/daffodil will get a digital daffodil.

They can share it online, or dedicate it in memory or in celebration of someone special or a milestone achieved.

In past years, volunteers would sell daffodil pins at various locations around Sarnia-Lambton during the month.

Some of this year's money will also be channelled to the COVID-19 Emergency Fund.

The agency said in these challenging times, the daffodil’s powerful symbol of hope and resilience is more meaningful than ever.

It's estimated that one in two Canadians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
