'Signs of support' locally for front line pandemic workers

A Corunna business is helping the community show its support for first responders, volunteers, doctors and other workers during the COVID-19 crisis.

Residents are painting Sarnia-Lambton red and white with lawn signs saying "Thank You."

Dynamic Graffix Signs and More Owner Tracey Manchester said it was important that she and her husband did something to recognize the efforts of those on the front line.

"My husband is a firefighter in Corunna, and I work in long-term care," said Manchester. "So, we were trying to find a way to do something to show our support for our brothers and sisters on the front lines as well as get the community involved in showing their support. We know that every night they have the banging of the pots and pans or the parade by the hospital but we wanted to find a way that we could do something. This was a perfect avenue for us."

Manchester said in just over 24 hours, they got close to 200 orders for the lawn signs.

Signs are being sold for $20 including tax and delivery. Manchester said for $25 dollars, they will donate a portion to the Bluewater Health Foundation COVID-19 fund.

Orders can be placed online at dynamicgraffix.com, by phone at 226-784-9886 or on their Facebook page.
