Lambton Public Health is suspending a number of routine programs and services as it continues to deal with the spread of COVID-19.
The health unit said in a release Thursday that it's implemented measures to redirect and reallocate health unit resources to deal with the pandemic, and as a result, some routine programs and services are suspended or modified with new access requirements, effective Friday, March 20.
Suspended programs include prenatal classes, parent drop-in sessions, Early ON drop-in support, and others.
The health unit said its main office at 160 Exmouth St. in Point Edward will be restricted to the public by appointment only. Call-in options are available.
The unit's Petrolia and Forest sub-offices will be closed.
