Lambton County closing all cultural services facilities

Lambton County has now decided to close all of its cultural services facilities as a COVID-19 precaution.

The closure is effective at the end of scheduled hours Monday, March 16 through to Sunday, April 5, and impacts all 25 county library locations, including the Sarnia Library Theatre, Lambton Heritage Museum, Oil Museum of Canada, Lambton County Archives, and the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery.

All Mobile Library Service deliveries are cancelled for the same period. Online library services will continue to be supported, and some staff may be redirected to support the community response led by Lambton Public Health.

All events and programs are cancelled or postponed during the closures.

Patrons are reminded that no fines will accumulate for library materials that are currently on loan and due dates have automatically been extended to April 6.
