COVID-19 cancellations and closures Sarnia-Lambton March 16

There have been numerous COVID-19 closures and cancellations across Sarnia-Lambton. Here are the latest for March 16, 2020:

 

Forest United Church has cancelled their church services for March 22 & 29, as well as all functions and events up to and including the Soup & Sandwich on April 5.

Effective Wednesday March 18, the St. Clair Township Civic Centre will be closed to the public. In addition, the Moore and Sombra museums, the library buildings, the local community halls - inclusive of all scheduled events - will be closed at end of business Tuesday.

--

Until further notice, the Longwoods Road Conservation Area Resource Centre/Museum will be closed to the public -- the Longwoods Road Conservation Area will remain open from 9 a.m. to sunset.

--

All operations at Sarnia’s Imperial Theatre, including rehearsals, meetings and all other business under the Theatre Sarnia and Imperial Theatre umbrella, will be suspended until April 6.

Miss Helen’s Place Daycare will be closed until April 6.

Community Living Sarnia-Lambton (CLSL) has made the decision to cancel the following programs until further notice: Wawanosh Day Options, The Activity Centre, Adult and Children’s Respite, Employment Transitions and JobPath, Community Participation / Recreation Activities

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton is closed until April 6.

Tourism Sarnia Lambton will be closed to the public until April 5.

Sarnia-Lambton Children’s Aid Society is closing the office and only communicating now through telephone calls– (519) 336-0623.

NeighbourLink Sarnia-Lambton will be closed until further notice — check the group’s Facebook page for updates.

The County of Lambton has closed all cultural services facilities, including libraries, museums and the gallery, until April 5.

--

Effective March 16 at 5 p.m., Lambton College will close and implement its work from home strategy.

--

Sarnia-Lambton Rebound has closed all locations until April 6th.

--

The Thedford Skating Club has cancelled its carnival set for March 21.

--

Starting Tuesday, Jackpot City will close all Ontario locations (Sarnia, St. Thomas, Timmins, Forest City) until further notice.

Boys & Girls Club of Sarnia Lambton we will be suspending all programs and services for a minimum of 21 days — check the group’s website and social media channels for further updates.

--

The Sarnia Horticultural Society meeting scheduled for Wed., March 18 at the Lochiel Kiwanis Centre is cancelled.

--

Sarnia Chiropractic and Performance Centre is now closed indefinitely.

--

Sarnia Transit says there will be no College Express for the Remainder of the semester.

--

St. Clair Child and Youth Services is closed until April 6, including in-home supports through Family Solutions and Youth Justice Services at Sarnia courthouse.

--

The Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting and Business after 5 on March 18 are cancelled.

--

St. Vincent de Paul food bank and help centre on Davis Street is closed.

--

The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority has cancelled the 2020 Maple Syrup Festival scheduled for March 21 and 22.

--

Mooretown Sports Complex is closed for the foreseeable future.

--

The Watford Arena, Centennial Hall and the Warwick Community Centre will all be closed until further notice. All ice and facility rentals are cancelled.

The Warwick Township Office will be closed and is tentatively planned to reopen on Wednesday, March 18.

Sarnia-Lambton MP Marilyn Gladu's office is closed to the public. Concerns are being handled by phone (519) 383-6600.

The Sarnia Humane Society is closed to the public and all volunteers.

Only the following essential services will be permitted: 1. Intake of Stray Animals 2. Owner pickups of stray animals 3. Pick up of already adopted animals

All public programs and events currently scheduled at the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery are cancelled immediately through to Sunday, April 5.

--

Pathways' Health Centre for Children is closed for services until April 6.

--

Grace United Church is closed.

--

LWI has cancelled the March 30 indoor presentation at the YMCA Learning Centre.

--

Wilkesport United Church's stew supper on March 19th has been cancelled.

--

Lambton Mental Wellness Centre will remain closed until further notice.

--

Ska:na Family Learning Centre, and Little Friends Childcare/Early ON Centre is closed until April 5.

--

All GoodLife and Fit4Less locations across Canada are closed until further notice.
