Sarnia's Jackson scores 100th NLL goal (VIDEO)

Sarnia's Kyle Jackson continues to light up the scoreboard in the National Lacrosse League.

The 26-year-old scored his 100th career goal in the Halifax Thunderbirds' 11-9 win over Buffalo on Sunday.

In his first year with Halifax, Jackson has eight goals and 17 assists for 25 points in 11 games played.

He played for the Rochester Nighthawks for three seasons, scoring 93 goals and adding 103 assists over 52 contests. He also had five goals and 14 points during five games in the 2018 playoffs.

Jackson will face his former team on March 14 in Rochester.

Jackson played minor lacrosse in Sarnia before spending five seasons with the Kitchener-Waterloo Jr. A Braves, scoring 154 goals and 289 points in 98 games. He spent his final three seasons as team captain.

He also attended the Hill Academy, a high performance athletic and academic high school in the Greater Toronto Area, before heading to the University of Michigan where he graduated as the program’s all time leading scorer.

He became the first player from the university to be selected in the NLL draft.

Jackson also plays field lacrosse in the MLL for the Boston Cannons. Over his three years in the league, he has 45 goals and 19 assists.
