City Christmas tree pick-up week of January 13

The holiday season has come and gone, but those who have real Christmas trees are going to have to wait a few more days before discarding them.

The City of Sarnia said Christmas tree pick-up will be done the week of January 13th through the 17th.

Waste Management Coordinator Tina D'Andrea said residents can place their trees at the curb the night before their regular collection day.

"Please also ensure there are no decorations remaining on the tree, no tree stands and no plastic wrapped trees," she said.

D'Andrea said along with next week's Christmas tree collection, brush will also be collected for anyone who may have missed the last scheduled brush pick-up of 2019.
